The housing market in the Raleigh-Durham area is hotter than ever and we are seeing DOM (Days on Market) averaging 37 days in the Triangle MLS Region, even less in Durham (30), Wake (32) and Orange (34) Counties. The surrounding areas of Harnett County (66), Chatham County (60) and Lee County (40) are seeing a little higher DOM. We are also seeing higher than average sales prices in Chatham +15.4% to $454,074 and Durham counties +6.7% to $297,648 in March.
Now is a great time to sell your home in the Triangle, inventory continues to be low and competition for homes under $300,000 is strong with multiple offer situations happening in Durham and Wake counties. Don't be surprised if we see this continue well into the summer and fall with the strong economy and job growth in our area.
